During her service as a community liaison for the Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) grant, Yugonda experienced the lack of communication in her own disenfranchised neighborhood. She began walking door-to-door discussing reliable resources with neighbors. Yugonda found her passion was for not only organizing, but also connecting services to the people who need them most. She applied her community organizing, teaching and real life experiences, continued to learn and grow in her journey to provide equity in information and opportunities, overcame adversity and emerged as a Community Connector and Engagement Specialist. From these humble beginnings, love and tenacity, grew EmPower All.

With over fourteen years of experience in management and executive leadership, Nikia's energetic, operational skills have supported multiple non-profit and corporate organizations across Virginia. Nikia’s ability to lead and sustain large scale-projects with sound strategic guidance makes her one of the most sought after in her field.

Ms. Fisher works passionately against domestic violence and the empowerment of young women; leading several large campaigns and local search/rescue missions. Her love for people and earnest work ethic organically connected her with EmPower All.
